We’re hiring a Contract Manager to work onsite at our site in Chepstow. You will need to be CPC qualified, and the ideal candidates will have previous transport experience, strong customer service skills and enjoy building relationships.

 

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £45,000 per annum. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Full ownership of the contract P&L and delivery of financial targets.
  • Lead two Transport Controllers and oversee daily driver operations.
  • Ensure effective route planning and consistent KPI performance.
  • Act as the named CPC Holder for the contract.Maintain high standards of Health & Safety across drivers and office staff.Coach, develop and support the management team.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Act as the principal point of contact for the customer.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the contract meets its commercial and operational targets.KPI reporting, weekly/monthly/quarterl

 

What you will need to be successful:

 

  • Strong experience in transport management, logistics or 3PL contract management.
  • Valid CPC in Road Transport – essential.
  • Experience managing a P&L and a good understanding of commercial/financial performance.
  • Strong knowledge of transport legislation, compliance and H&S.
  • Proven leadership experience.Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Good problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining standards.
