Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to Up to £45,000 per annum. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks. 

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Manage a Vehicle fleet and personnel ranging from HGV Drivers and Forklift drivers.
• Manage absence, sickness and holiday in line with XPO procedures.
• Undertake investigations and disciplinary procedures as required.
• Ensure you and your reports remain fully compliant with site policies and procedures.
• Supervising the operation, motivate, encourage team to perform to the best of their ability.
• Understand the customer’s requirements, updating on customer orders and providing general customer feedback as required.
• Maintain reports on productivity, including mitigation and opportunities to improve.
• Support the investigation of incidents as required.
• Ensure all process and procedures are followed and that we operate a safe and efficient environment.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• Essential: Previous knowledge of working within a Transport environment
• Knowledge of compliance, QHSE & CPC (desirable)
• Essential: It’s important you have exposure of working in a fast-paced environment – no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet.
• Essential: Good knowledge of Microsoft packages and working with IT systems.
• Essential: Supervisory experience or demonstrable experience of stepping up to cover Supervisory role.
• Essential: Demonstrable experience of meeting customer requirements and meeting objectives/KPI’s that are set.
• Essential: Good customer service/ communication skills
