Transport Co-Ordinator - Warrington

Here at XPO, we’re looking to bring in a Transport Coordinator at our site Warrington on a full-time, permanent basis. As a Transport Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for organising and supporting daily transport schedules so that goods are collected and delivered on time and in line with customer expectations. You’ll liaise with drivers, customers, warehouse teams, and sometimes third-party carriers to keep routes running smoothly.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
On a typical day, you’ll allocate drivers to routes, plan delivery sequences, prepare paperwork, and ensure predeparture checks are completed. You’ll monitor live delivery progress through transport management systems (TMS), telematics, or GPS tracking to respond quickly to delays, traffic issues, or lastminute changes. Communication is constant as you’ll keep drivers updated, coordinate with loading teams, and notify customers about disruptions. You will also assist in making ready the macjines for loading, by moving them into the transport loading cage, a FLT licence is desireable but not essential as you will be trained to receive this.
Transport Coordinators handle key compliance tasks too. You’ll support tachograph analysis, track driver hours, log vehicle defects, and ensure documentation is complete for audits and legal requirements. You may also assist with vehicle maintenance scheduling, booking services, or escalating defects to workshops or fleet providers.
